Another day of great endorsements for Hillary. For even more great Hillary news and insight, please follow and check out the daily HNV by Lysis.
More than fifty Mississippi mayors have endorsed Hillary for President. I posted the entire list of mayors and a few of the endorsements here. Check out the link for a few more.
Dozens of mayors in Mississippi, including Meridian Mayor Percy Bland and Philadelphia Mayor James Young, announced their endorsement of Hillary Clinton for president.
Jackson Mayor Tony Yarber: “Hillary Clinton knows how to make it happen. As President, she will give special and needed attention to cities – particularly minority-led cities – and the issues that plague us. She is committed to pushing for creative infrastructure investments and to building on the progress President Obama has made. In my mind, she is the only candidate who can pragmatically achieve important gains for families and communities, and it’s why I’m proud to support her candidacy.”
Hattiesburg Mayor Johnny DuPree: "As a mayor, I know how important it is to have someone in the White House that will understand the struggles that small cities and municipalities face every day. From education to health care, Hillary Clinton is committed to under-served communities and small towns, and that's why I stand behind her. I'm excited to join the team of grassroots supporters who know that Hillary Clinton is the experienced choice for President."
Greenville Mayor Errick Simmons: "Hillary Clinton is working everyday to tear down the economic, racial, and social barriers that are holding our communities back. She fully understands how the federal government can become an economic catalyst to local governments by maximizing federal investments with local economic development plans. She has spent the last 40 years fighting for racial and social justice, and I know she will spend the next 8 years doing the same."

This is the main newspaper of Broward county, but it also serves all counties that comprise South Florida.
It has the largest circulation in South Florida.
Hillary Clinton brings assets we've seen too little of this primary season — steadiness and experience at the highest levels of government.
Her resume is impressive. She spent eight years in the U.S. Senate, representing New York from 2001 to 2009. She followed that with four years as secretary of state. Though she ran unsuccessfully for the Democratic nomination in 2008, she was in the White House for eight years working on policy while her husband was president.
Critics who claim Clinton has no record of accomplishment despite her sparkling resume need to look closer at her record.
She helped secure more than $21 billion for World Trade Center redevelopment. She led investigations into the health problems of 9/11 first responders. She promoted increased National Institutes of Health funding for research into cancer and asthma. She was the principal author of sanctions – particularly on oil imports to the European Union -- that brought Iran to the negotiating table. She helped bring about a 2012 cease-fire between Hamas and Israel that headed off an Israeli invasion of Gaza. She named an "ambassador at large" for women's rights.
The entire Tampa City Council has endorsed Hillary Clinton for President.
These smaller endorsements can be very helpful to get out the vote in the local communities that these folks represent. Florida is an important primary state, with plenty of delegates at stake.
It’s great to have these folks advocating for Hillary!
Guido Maniscalco, at 31 the lone millennial on the council, said he admires both Clinton and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, but he likes the job Bill Clinton did as president and "as senator, as former First Lady and as secretary of state, I find her to be very qualified."
"Hillary is the candidate who can do all parts of the job of president — raising incomes for the middle class and keeping our communities safe as commander-in-chief," Reddick said in a statement released through the campaign. "She has a lifetime of experience fighting to break down the barriers that hold too many people back. Tampa families know she's the one who'll fight for them."
"I am proud to support Hillary Rodham Clinton," council member Lisa Montelione said. "It is imperative that we have a proven leader who has solid plans to address some of our most pressing issues. Ms. Clinton has been in the trenches and has never wavered in her belief that America is a place where discrimination is not tolerated, where all of us deserve a quality education system, affordable healthcare and a living wage."
