I can’t believe I actually heard this answer at a Democratic debate. I had to go back and re-read what she said to make sure I got it right. When asked why it’s okay for her to take millions from Wall Street and still be expected to actually reign Wall Street in Hillary Clinton gave a Republican answer with a twist. To summarize, she basically said:
“Hey, it’s okay for me to take millions from Wall Street (don’t forget I’m a woman) cuz 9/11.”

Her exact words were:
You know, not only do I have hundreds of thousands of donors, most of them small, and I'm very proud that for the first time a majority of my donors are women, 60%. [Cheers and applause.] So I— I represented New York, and I represented New York on 9/11 when we were attacked. Where were we attacked? We were attacked in downtown Manhattan where Wall Street is. I did spend a whole lot of time and effort helping them rebuild. That was good for New York. It was good for the economy, and it was a way to rebuke the terrorists who had attacked our country.
I’m sorry but with an answer like this, it’s hard for me to stomach the idea of voting for her even should she win the nomination. First off, she calls most of her donors small, not their donations. Freudian slip? Besides, what the fuck does having lots of female donors have to do with making it okay or not to take much larger donations from Wall Street and corporate interests?
The second part...now that’s the even bigger what the fuck. I take Wall Street money cause 9/11? I’ve made millions in speaking fees to fight the terrorists? Wow, that’s heroic. Hillary has made her own special contribution to the war on terror, fighting terrorists by raking in millions in speaking fees and donations from Wall Street. Wow. I am so impressed by her sacrifice and courage in rebuking the terrorists.
