According to New York Times reporter Amy Chozick, Hillary Clinton had this to say about Bernie Sanders at a campaign rally this morning:
x"I don't know where he was when I was trying to get health care in '93 and '94," a fired up @HillaryClinton says of Sanders.
— Amy Chozick (@amychozick) March 12, 2016As most liberals know, Bernie Sanders has been a long time advocate for universal healthcare. So Hillary's smear attempt is easily disproven.
For example, there is this handwritten note she sent to Sanders in 1993:
x"I don't know where @BernieSanders was when I was trying to get healthcare in '93 - '94" #HistoryByHillarypic.twitter.com/nT66NaGy6C
— Mel (@melimel521) March 12, 2016In addition, there is also video footage from 1993 of Sanders literally standing right behind Hillary Clinton in support of a speech she gave on healthcare reform .

— mike casca (@cascamike) March 12, 2016Now, perhaps you are thinking, “well, maybe Hillary didn’t see Bernie standing directly behind her.” This possibility is ruled out from the video footage, when Hillary states:
I'm very grateful to the leadership that many people are giving to this great reform effort, and I'm grateful that Congressman Sanders would join us today from Vermont.
So, to no great surprise, Hillary's smear attempt on Bernie's healthcare record is easily easily disproven.
It's very disappointing to see Hillary Clinton make blatantly false statements like this. She is the Democratic front-runner. Regardless of whether one characterizes today's statement as a reckless attack, a brazen lie, or merely another case of “misspeaking”, it undermines her credibility.
