Why the math doesn't matter!

I really don’t care about the delegate math right now when it comes to the Sanders’ campaign.  I don’t care one bit and yet I hear it all the time, the math, the totals, the bottom line.  It’s politics as usual for the Democrats and it’s patronizing as fuck.

Why?

Because the Sanders’ campaign is energizing young people to be involved.  They are phone banking and canvassing and guess what?  That matters more than the math right now, for me.

Imagine a whole new generation of progressives that learn how campaigns work?

Imagine hundreds of thousands of people seeing their efforts move poll numbers and make a difference?

Sanders wasn’t supposed to do as well in Iowa, he was down in Michigan, he was down nationwide for MONTHS and yet he’s slowly crept up in the polls.  So, when you are down and the math is against you and yet you have millions of people donating and volunteering, should you just chuck it in?

No.  Right now, the math doesn’t matter because there are far too many people who are still willing to fight and fight hard for this campaign.  That is what matters.

So you can write as many diaries as you want, and keep telling people how it’s mathematically impossible, but it won’t stop anyone from trying, at least it won’t stop me.

“Virtually no path to the nomination”

UPDATE:  H/T Thumb — just to put things into perspective...
