Noted political prognosticator Markos Moulitsas: Bernie Sanders' race is over

The man who essentially declared the race over from day one, and has consistently, and embarrassingly, underestimated Bernie Sanders’ performance throughout the primary season (“He’ll top out at 30%”), has now decided he will make no more embarrassing predictions; he’s just going to declare it over.

In short, there is no plausible route for Sanders to overcome the advantage Clinton enjoyed of 319 pledged delegates before Tuesday’s contests. Since the former first lady leads the pledged delegate race 58 percent to 42 percent, with roughly half of the delegates to take the nomination already allocated, Sanders would have to win nearly 60 percent of delegates in the remaining states just to tie her.

That’s just not going to happen.

In, the end, Moulitsas was charitable and fair, as always:

Sanders is obviously free to stay in the race so long as his supporters keep funding his efforts. But no one should get angry when the rest of the party starts focusing on the Drumpf threat.

Since obviously, Moulitsas has declared the race over, and discussion is undesired at this site, you can freely discuss Bernie Sanders’ primary run at the following sites:

It’s totally futile, and it’s all over, according to the guy that’s been wrong all primary, but I would encourage you nonetheless:

VOTE BERNIE SANDERS, BECAUSE FUCK THIS SHIT.
