This comment in my post revealed much:
And Sanders continues to raise money from people who are struggling so he can pay Tad Devine commissions on ad buys to attack the general election nominee, with no chance of winning the nomination himself, and at an opportunity cost to donating to other progressives. It’s unethical.
I won’t link it. It does not matter who said it.
Some people here want Bernie out because every state he wins reflects poorly on Hillary and his existence and support undermine their definition of “progressive,” showing it to be extremely limited and ineffective in dealing with the Great Economic Inequality.
The existence of a Left in the Democratic Party threatens their control of the discourse. It threatens their self image as “progressives” because we want real change. We saw it here with opposition to single payer and free public college by some Hillary supporters who talked about giving away “free stuff.”
It also threatens their ability to scoop up cash and direct it to centrists who talk left, but govern for socially liberal economic elites.
Democracy is not unthetical. Bernie giving 20 or more states a choice when he has not been eliminated, except by this Blog’s owner, is not unethical.
I can determine where and to whom or if I donate to a political candidate.
I choose to make contributions to Bernie.
You can’t have my money, but Bernie can.
