We’re in for a less-fun period of the primary until April 19. Hillary Clinton won Arizona by nearly 20 points, while Bernie Sanders won Utah and Idaho, and Hillary is now around 300 pledged delegates ahead. Contests over the next few weeks are thought to favor Bernie, though Hillary might be able to pick off one or two of them or at least keep them close. We’ll get a wave of media promotion of Bernie’s candidacy, and pushing of the horserace story hard. We’ve been there before with New Hampshire, and this time, at least Hillary has a dominant delegate lead.
For those who haven’t done so, check out the News & Views diaries, and anything from the Hillary Writers Circle. A special thank you to Lysis for keeping News & Views going for so long, and to Scan, aphra behn, and others who step in while Lysis is away. Some good examples from the HWC include:
melaka: Hillary in Seattle
First Amendment: Rolling Stone Endorses Hillary Clinton, The “Clear and Urgent Voice” That Should Be President
Scan: Hillary Deserves a Huge Amount of Credit For the U.S.-Cuba Breakthrough
reesetheone: American Nurses Association Endorses Hillary Clinton
There are also (sometimes) good diaries to be found at #HillaryClinton and related hashtags. These include:
Walter Einenkel: Jimmy Kimmel mansplains things to Hillary Clinton and its hilariously perfect
teacherken: Some thoughts on sexism in the United States
Hunter: First the pundits said Hillary Clinton was too loud. Now they say she’s too ‘calm.’
El Mito: La Hillary en Espanol; Spanish Coverage of Hillary 03/24/2016 (w/ subtitles)
Sorry, El Mito, I don’t know how to do the accent over the n.
Meanwhile, Hillary Clinton’s poised, thoughtful reaction to the Brussels attack compared to that of anyone else is just another reminder of why only she is presidential material.
