I strongly suggest you read a piece in today’s Washington Post titled At rallies, Hillary Clinton’s supporters are looking for logic, not passion.
Far too much of the coverage of this primary has focused on supposed passion/enthusiasm gaps, both between Republicans (especially supporters of the Real Estate Mogul whose name I will not mention in this piece) and Democrats, as well as between supporters of Senator Sanders and those of Secretary Clinton.
Having been at an opening of a Clinton local headquarters for the Virginia Primary, having talked with and corresponded with a number of Clinton supporters, ranging from high government officials both elected and appointed, and having read a fair number of pieces by people who explain why they are drawn to Clinton, I have often wondered why the media did not do a better job of explaining why in primaries, and especially among Democrats, Clinton has won pretty convincingly, and is likely to continue to do so over the long run.
Thus I offer this article to help explain it. Come along with me as I explore it a bit.
