Well, here we are. The moment of truth. Defeated, barely solvent, and experiencing muscular shrinkage, the Sanders Campaign machine has now decided its all about war with the Democratic National Committee. The DNC is possibly the most irrelevant institution in all of American politics. But there they are, taking it to the man. Convention committee seats. That's what its all about!
Alright. Fine. Whatever. The Clinton Campaign did the same nonsense in 2008. The Clinton Campaign has bigger fish to fry these days just as the Obama Campaign did. The end result will be the same. Because nobody seriously gives a shit about the DNC. The White House is where the prize is.
But for all you progressives, liberals, socialists, and any other 'ists' out there who have invested your money with the Sanders Campaign I say this: If I were you I'd want something tangible after blowing through 200 million bucks and making a handful of rich Beltway insiders even richer than they already were. There's an entire apparatus of fundraising and volunteers that YOU BUILT and have no control over. Now those same rich men are wasting even more of your money on foolishness when they could be advancing your cause and building something permanent. FOR YOU.
That is the difference between a real movement and just another failed liberal presidential campaign that ends in a myriad of winding down legal paperwork.
