don't count on it. Sanders doesn't run against Republicans. His war is on Democrats. So we should expect him to do whatever it takes to live out his ideology. I too once thought he'd be a team player but he's making it clear that's not happening. He's got his own agenda. That's his right. Democrats should accept it, part ways with him, and move on. Not everyone is going to be a defeated Hillary Clinton of 2008. That's life.
It is clear there is nothing more to be done with Sanders. He will never accept Clinton as the legitimate winner of a fair fight, even with perfunctory endorsement. He can't come out and say 'the system is actually fair and I lost.' The system is corrupt and rigged. The system is only fair when Sanders wins.
Keeping the White House is essential and votes are votes. Don't matter where they come from as long as we have the most. So we need to allow Clinton the flexibility to go wherever the winnable votes are and win them. That means we're going to hear some things us party loyalists are not going to like, especially in the area of foreign policy. Suck it up. We have to win the majority of votes, doesn't matter where they are.
Clinton's job is to do whatever it takes to win. If one thing doesn't work, then try another. Whatever it takes. That's whats important.
