Baylor University’s Board of Regents voted to fire Ken Starr (yes, that guy) from his position as president and chancellor of the school.

Baylor University did not officially confirm the news on Tuesday. A university spokesperson told News 8's Jason Wheeler, as of today, Starr remains the president and chancellor.

A statement released by the university earlier Tuesday said Baylor expects to make an announcement regarding the board of regents' decision by June 3, after they finish reviewing an investigation by an outside law firm into the university's handling of sexual assault claims made against athletes in its football program.

Kenneth Starr made his early career as a judgeship nominee of conservative Saint, and all-around-awful politician, Ronald Reagan in the 1980s. He was dragged out of the Bush/Reagan/Nixon/Cheney dungeon as an attack dog for the conservative party in the 1990s, as they hoped that scandal would sink then-President, Bill Clinton.

A former Baylor student announced plans to sue the university in March 2016, alleging the school displayed “deliberate indifference” about her complaint again former Baylor football player Tevin Elliott. He was convicted of sexually assaulting the former student twice at a party and sentenced to 20 years in prison. Two other former Baylor students also testified during the trial that Elliott had sexually assaulted them, the Waco Tribune reported.

What Kenneth Starr did about all of this is a bit murky but what he didn’t do was help rectify the terrible ordeal these women face.
