Clinton is apparently so weak that Sanders could sink her versus Trump in the general?

All of the Sturm und Drang here of late has been entertaining. kos has felt the need to go after Sanders and his most rabid supporters hard, unloading everything in the kos arsenal on the guy who won’t be the Democratic nominee.

You know it. I know it. kos knows it.

Sanders will not be the Democratic nominee. Clinton is our nominee. And nothing that Sanders, Jeff Weaver or any Sanders supporter here says or writes will change that fact. Oh, sure, some of the diehards here will insist that he still has a shot, or that once Clinton is indicted, Sanders will be next in line, or that the superdelegates will flip once they realize that Sanders is The One, but the reality of the situation is, it ain’t gonna’ happen. Clinton is our nominee.

So why all the piling on by kos?

Are kos and numerous Clinton faithful here really that fearful that something/anything Sanders or his most ardent supporters do or say will sink her in the general election against a candidate who is the worst nominee ever put forward by a major political party in U.S. history?

Is she that weak? Seriously?

Hell, in May of 2008, the Clinton campaign vowed to take the nomination fight to the convention. The bitter, burned-out PUMAs were howling and squealing that they would sink Obama versus McCain. And Obama, a black guy, handily beat a much stronger Republican nominee than Donald Trump.

So just how weak of a general election candidate is Clinton? Does kos really believe that she can figure out a way to lose this race to Trump, a complete buffoon who shows little to no interest in actually being president?

Because if Clinton loses to this clown, it will be on her. Not on Sanders, not on Sanders supporters, not on the hardcore “Bernie-or-Busters,” not on anyone except for Clinton. She has the good fortune of running against the weakest major party nominee in history. And if she can’t beat him, that’s pathetic.

In terms of business sense, kos going so hard after a guy that many on his blog like and/or support just seems stupid and vindictive. What’s the upside for the business? I don’t see it. It’s beginning to remind me of the thick-skulled Jerome Armstrong who went down in flames in 2008 and took his blog with him.

Except, in this case, it makes even less sense. Armstrong was all-in for the loser in 2008 and he went down with the ship. kos is on the winning team this year and feels the need to rub it in instead of letting the process play out.

Another little bit of common sense: Sanders will endorse Clinton after the last primary, just like Clinton did with Obama in `08. It’s in Sanders’ best interest to do so. He does not want to be known forever as the guy who — in any way, shape or form — helped put Donald Trump in the White House.

Hey, Sanders was never supposed to be factor this year. Clinton had all but cleared the field. Not even Sanders believed he would do as well as he has done. So what if it plays out another two or three weeks?

Clinton needs to be a better candidate. She couldn’t possibly lose to that jerk in the general election, could she?

Well, could she?
