The Sanders Campaign DID NOT Request a Reduction in Polling Places in Puerto Rico

In addition to this flat denial from the campaign, all news stories regarding the reduction of polling places indicate that it was Roberto Plats and the Democratic Party of Puerto Rico that decided to reduce the number of polling places.  No mention is made of the Sanders campaign in multiple real-time accounts except to state that his supporters were worried about access to the polls.

One article describes the Sanders campaign’s subsequent discussions with Puerto Rico’s Party officials negotiating which of the 455 polling places would stay open in order to maximize access to rural voters.
