This news is breaking now. Before New Jersey even goes to the polls! The AP has declared that Hillary Clinton has the delegates required to become the Presumptive Nominee.

Clinton has 1,812 pledged delegates won in primaries and caucuses. She also has the support of 571 superdelegates, according to an Associated Press count.

The AP surveyed all 714 superdelegates repeatedly in the past seven months, and only 95 remain publicly uncommitted.

DKos can explode/implode now.

Update: Sanders is reacting to the news by saying it doesn’t count until the convention because even though they are expressing their commitment to the AP, they haven’t voted yet. See full statement in updates below.

It is also being reported that the Clinton campaign isn’t thrilled this news is coming out now before tomorrow’s vote. We know that is what she had wanted.
