I watched as much of Bernie’s speech as MSNBC decided to cover live this evening. I am so relieved. While some may disagree, I heard the call for common cause unity loud and clear. It might not have been the concession that some were hoping for but it was true to Bernie. I’m more than prepared to meet him where he is on this.
And, yes, Bernie, I agree with you. What binds us in this fight against bigotry and racism and fascism is far more than separates us. Under no circumstances can Donald Trump be allowed to win this race.
I agree with you that living conditions and realities on Pine Ridge are a disgrace and unacceptable. I agree with you that the young mother in Nevada should not have to go to bed worried and scared every night despite the fact that she works hard to earn a living for herself and her child. I agree with you that is disgusting that children in inner cities have a higher chance of going to jail than going to college. And I agree with you that true change starts not at the top but at the bottom with people showing up again and again to fight for change.
You did good. Thank you.
