Today comes the announcement that 3 days later, on July 8, Hillary will be campaigning with Joe Biden in Scranton, PA. Scranton, PA is Joe Biden’s birthplace and where Hillary’s Dad grew up.
And, later in the diary we see even Michelle Obama proudly representing, from far away as Madrid, Spain.

Joe Biden to join Hillary Clinton on the trail in Pennsylvania
Vice President Joe Biden will join Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail next week, following an event with President Barack Obama.
Biden will join Clinton next Friday at a campaign event in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Biden was born in Scranton, and Clinton's father grew up there. "BREAKING: @VP to join @HillaryClinton on the campaign trail in Scranton, PA on July 8. RSVP here," Clinton's Pennsylvania operation tweeted Thursday. The event will follow a joint appearance with Clinton and Obama on Tuesday in North Carolina. The move comes as Clinton is looking to shore up support in swing states. Pennsylvania, whose economy is heavily reliant on steel and manufacturing, is the type of Rust Belt swing state Donald Trump is looking to appeal to with his populist, anti-trade message.I

Biden: “Bernie’s going to endorse her” Biden also made other news today. He said that he spoke to Bernie Sanders and that Bernie would endorse Hillary soon: Joe Biden: Bernie Sanders Will Endorse Hillary ClintonBiden says he spoke with the Vermont senator
Vice President Joe Biden said Thursday that Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders will endorse Hillary Clinton for president.
Biden told NPR’s Rachel Martin in a sit-down interview that he has talked to Sanders and that he will endorse Clinton, though no word of when this endorsement will come.
“Oh, I’ve talked to Bernie, Bernie’s going to endorse her, this is going to work out,” Biden told Martin in an interview set to air this weekend. “The Democrats are coalescing even before this occurs.”
Sanders, who lost the delegate race in the Democratic primaries to Clinton, has continued to campaign, telling supporters last week that he would continue his “political revolution.” He did say, however, that he would vote for Clinton in November, but hadn’t endorsed her for president because he “hadn’t heard her say the things I need to hear said.”
Michelle Obama in Madrid, Spain:
Michelle Obama and daughters Malia and Sasha are in Madrid, Spain, and Michelle gave a speech about her “Let Girls learn” education initiative, and she decided to tell the listening crowd how proud she is that we’ll (hopefully) have a woman President this year in Hillary:
Michelle Obama 'proud' woman may be elected US president
US First Lady Michelle Obama said Thursday she was "proud" that a woman might be elected president of the United States this year, during a speech in Madrid to promote education for girls.
"I'm proud to say that this year, for the first time in history, we might just elect a president -- a female president of the United States," she said, without naming presumptive Democratic White House nominee Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama's former rival who went on to become his secretary of state.
Her comments come as President Obama prepares to campaign with Clinton for the first time next Tuesday in the swing state of North Carolina, one of about a dozen battleground states where November's election is expected to be decided.
Lastly, back to Joe Biden one more time. I got a fundraising email from him yesterday, and it is his strongest endorsement of Hillary yet. Those who haven’t seen it might be interested what Joe has to say about Hillary:
Hillary is a force of nature, George
Hi, George -- I’m excited to be writing to you today. We’re just one day out from the final fundraising deadline of this primary, and after a long, tough fight, we have a presumptive nominee who’s going to be a terrific president: my friend, Hillary. I’m proud to endorse Hillary, and I’m grateful you’re part of her team -- our whole country is counting on you to make sure she wins this November. President Obama and I are going to be hitting the campaign trail hard to help out as much as we can -- and we hope you’ll join us.
I’ve known Hillary for a long time -- from the time she was First Lady, Senator from New York, and our Secretary of State. She is a force of nature. She’s tough, she’s brilliant, and she genuinely loves serving this country. Hillary is the kind of person who, at the end of the day, wants to help people and make their lives better. That’s who you want as your president. That’s especially true when your other option is Donald Trump. Donald Trump's politics of fear and intolerance have no place in America. He won't solve our problems -- he'll make them worse. Because let me tell you denigrating our allies isn't a foreign policy. Telling the world the United States can't be counted on to pay our debts isn't an economic policy. And attacking the ethnicity of a federal judge violates everything we stand for -- and believe -- as Americans. I've always believed this nation succeeds best when we come together as one America. But everything about Donald Trump's campaign is determined to divide and pull us apart. There’s no one I trust more than Hillary to lead the fight against Trump, and I’m hoping you’ll come through as part of her team again and again. She needs you. We all do. I hope you’ll chip in before tomorrow's critical deadline -- I can’t thank you enough for being part of the fight to keep our country moving forward:
Thank you, Joe
