This was almost too easy, but ohhhhhh so satisfying to watch! CNN anchor Brianna Keilor had to suffer the indignity of listening to Trump shill Scottie Nell Hughes in discussing Mein Trumpfs latest unforced error on Twitter. While discussing the anti Semitic imagery of his brain dead tweet, Hughes parroted the standard Trump campaign mantra the the media was making a mountain out of a molehill, stating that it was either a “regular star” or a “sheriffs star” which are commonly used by sheriffs departments all over the country.
You could almost see Brianna licking her chops. First she disabused the “plain star” gibberish by pointing out that regular stars have five points, not six. She then eviscerated Hughes on the “sheriffs star” nonsense by displaying a simple Google search for Sheriffs badges. Over half of the badges were six sided stars, but every single, official six sided sheriffs star had rounded edges, not a single one had points! There were several seven pointed stars, and well over half of the five pointed stars had circle caps over the points as well. Here is an example, but my simple Google image search can be found HERE.
Scottie Nell Hughes was clearly pissed. Now that the lame ass excuse was exposed for what it was, she retreated to blaming the media, but it was clear that she had just had the floor mopped with her. Apparently the Trump campaign wasn’t watching Scottie get her lunch eaten on national news on this subject because about :15 later they released a statement doubling down on what Hughes just got clubbed over the head with. These false attacks by Hillary Clinton trying to link the Star of David with a basic star, often used by sheriffs who deal with criminals and criminal behavior, showing an inscription that says “Crooked Hillary is the most corrupt candidate ever” with anti-Semitism is ridiculous.
Trump is a moron. Instead of being able to use the weekend to hammer Hillary for the FBI interview and Bills idiotic meeting with Loretta Lynch, for three days now the news cycle has been driven by his stupid tweet. At this point I’m almost pining to do a Rip Van Winkle and not wake up until November 8!
