Conservatives Aren't Prepared For What's Coming

Conservatives have been stewing in a pit of bigotry, anger, and vile hate speech since Obama’s election. Because of America’s racist expectations of black leaders and the racist fear of strong angry black men, conservatives have largely been treated with kid gloves, like a senile racist grandfather everyone tolerates quietly. There have been condemnations of the hate speech directed at Obama, but rarely from Obama himself and not with a sense of consensus that would condemn conservative hate speech as it should be condemned. For himself, Obama’s gone well out of his way (and then miles further) to avoid betraying any hint of anger or enacting any kind of retribution towards the overwhelming number of bigots in the conservative movement for the way they've treated him.

But very soon we’ll be electing the first woman president, and while the vile hate speech from Conservatives will likely be every bit as ugly (“hang that bitch,” for example), our society’s expectations for Hillary Clinton’s response as a white woman will be very different, and she herself is a very different kind of leader.

Hillary Clinton isn't going to have a beer summit with a bigoted cop who arrests her friends out of spite. That cop is going down, and maybe his boss too, for good measure.

Hillary Clinton isn't going to tolerate the kind of shit we saw directed at Obama, nor should she. Hillary Clinton is at her best politically when she's pissed off. Her speeches are their most sincere, because I think that's the real her. She's not a happy warrior unless she has to be - in her heart she's just a straight up gladiator and she's not going to sit back and take what the misogynists dish out, because she won't be expected to. Unlike with a black leader, America and especially America’s women will expect her to fight back. It will be to her political advantage to fight back, in an intelligent way, but with the full force and authority of her office. Every bigoted attack on her will represent an attack on all of our daughters, wives, mothers, and grandmothers, in a way that an attack on a black person unfortunately does not.

Republicans want to freeze out her nominations? I expect we’ll see some very very assertive push back. Republicans want to investigate her people for nonsense? That's a very dangerous game to play with Hillary Clinton as the leader of the free world, given how much Republicans and their corporate masters have to hide.

Conservatives aren't ready for what's coming. They're like children who's parents have allowed them to behave like self-entitled bullies but who are all of a sudden thrust into a new environment where that won't fly. They simply won't be able to adapt and are in for some serious long needed discipline.

I understand and respect so much how Obama dealt with his unique situation in American history with grace and intelligence. But I very much suspect the world is about to see these bigots get the pushback they deserve.

Conservatives seem to think they can talk about and treat Hillary Clinton like they treated Obama, and while American doesn't always treat white women the way we should, the expectations of a vast majority of Americans for the respect one must show a black man vs a white woman… well, Conservatives seem to have no sense of that difference, or of what's coming.
