Earlier today I posted a diary which shot to the top of the Rec list and had hundreds of comments.
Moments ago I deleted it.
Not because I regretted anything I said.
Not because of any comments anyone made.
I deleted it because it no longer applies.
Bernie Sanders hit it out of the ballpark tonight. He issued as strong and solid an endorsement of Hillary Clinton as anyone could have asked for. He did everything he possibly could have to reassure his supporters that their voices were heard loud and clear, and from what I could gather, it sounds like his delegates (mostly) got it out of their system and all is (mostly) well in Philly.
Are there still a few holdouts left? Sure...but there always will be. You can never reach everyone.
But I’m now confident that the vast majority of progressives, Democrats, blue-leaners, liberals, lefties etc. are ready to move on.
Let’s do this thing...together.
