“The Art Of The Steal” By Donald Trump.
Once a scam artist, always a scam artist. Now Trump is taking his donors for a ride. Once you donate, you can't stop automatic recurring donations to his campaign, according to a new article Vanity Fair. While anybody who gives to “Don The Con” certainly deserves to be parting ways with their hard earned money, I don't condone what Trump is doing to these unsuspecting donors…. perhaps a metaphor of his whole campaign. Another stellar example of how Trump would handle the economy.
Once they start getting recurring charges for their donations, which they won't be able to stop, maybe they’ll finally see Trump for the scam/BS artist he truly is:
While it’s not particularly hard to give your money to Trump—the option to give anywhere from $10 to $2,700 is easily accessible on his Web site, beneath the all-caps commandment “I AM YOUR VOICE”—it’s apparently nearly impossible to stop giving once you’ve started. Mic.com confirmed reports that the Trump campaign site does not allow people who have set up recurring payments online to stop automatic donations every month. The issue was brought to attention by a former Trump supporter whose grievances with the site were widely circulated online:
After testing Trump’s campaign donation page, Mic discovered that it could not remove its credit-card information from the campaign’s databases, much less cancel its own recurring donation of $1. One credit-card number can only be exchanged for another, valid number. The site couldn’t find any instructions on how to cancel its donations, either. (The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.)
By contrast, Mic found it easy to cancel a recurring payment it made to Hillary Clinton.
Trump’s history is littered with allegations of scamming working-class people out of money, from Trump University students to the small-business contractors he routinely refused to pay for what he claimed was shoddy work on his casinos. It doesn’t seem unfathomable that he would do the same to people donating to his campaign.
