The Secret Service says it has talked with Trump about his threatening comments, CNN reports, and Trump tweets that "No such meeting or conversation ever happened."
The choices here are : he is lying about the contact, the Secret Service is lying about the contact, his staff didn’t tell him about the contact, in which case the he has no control over the campaign, or they told him and he forgot. I go with he is lying since that’s his default position.
