When I heard that Hillary Clinton was coming to Michigan this week I knew that I had to be there. I missed the chance to display my 7 foot banner in Detroit this Monday during Trump’s speech since I had to work. I work driving a bus in Livingston County, Michigan. Many of my riders have disabilities or special needs. I treat all of my riders with respect.
I made this banner when Trump mocked the reporter with a disability. He seems to revel in tearing down people. Apparently this reporter had written something that displeased Trump. So, like a playground bully he trashed him on national t.v.
I really didn’t expect a crowd in Warren this week since it was not open to the general public. When I got there 3 hours early there were a few trumpet’s down the street. As time marched on their numbers grew. I had come alone and was not looking for trouble but was not about to be intimidated by their numbers or attitude.
What occurred was interesting. The Trump supporter who talked over me thought that he had won. In reality, he lost. It showed that he, like his candidate Donald Trump is loud, uninformed and disinterested in civil conversation. He actually helped draw media attention to my banner.
