The MSM talks about credibility and trustworthiness of political candidates at the same time that the public’s trust in the media is diving. HuffPost (www.huffingtonpost.com/…) summarizes findings in a study published in April as follows: only 6% of the American public says it “has a great deal of confidence” in the media. (Link to full study: www.americanpressinstitute.org/...)

In the meantime, the media keeps nagging about Hillary not holding press conferences. Countdowns are being done. There are even some at dkos who think not doing so is baaaad for the campaign. But guess what?

The public may not always be right, but it is right on this issue. The MSM is unable to self-regulate. Getting a story, any story, is more important than getting a story right. Seems to be pretty much what the Clinton campaign thinks, too:

But with digital media as sophisticated as it now is, the MSM does not need to be allowed to control the narrative any longer. Keep on walking, Hillary. #ImWithHer
