Well I just got the report from UW-Med. Positive on the left lower side of my prostate. Gleason scores of cores from that location found in the MRI: 3+3, 3+4, 3+4, 3+3, 3+4 which put’s me in the Group 2.
We will be meeting next week to go over this officially and also meet with the Radiological Oncologist for my options. Yes I will be looking a radiation treatment — as i have been doing my research over the past week. I am coming in with open eyes and not rushing into things…
I am though in a kinda shock.. Still I was hoping not to go down this path. I am changing my diet to lose the weight I have gained since 2007 (hey for a while I was under so much stress I was eating/gaining 10 lbs/yr). I have managed with my current employer being easier to handle I have lost 25 in the past couple of years..
I still kinda have my head/heart spinning around. Now I need to tell my kids and immediate family about what is happening. I have good co-workers and a company who are supportive. I’m in good hands there, so I don’t need to worry about my job or my insurance.
