Momondo is a travel site. As part of a promotional campaign they produced a video where they collected 67 people from around the world, into a room. They interviewed them about their feelings of nationality and patriotism, about their biases against other countries and groups of people, and finally, they asked them to spit in a tube so that they could conduct a DNA test for them. A couple of weeks later they collected the whole group again and this time they presented them with their DNA test results. It turns out that even the most ardent Englishman, a man who said he “didn’t like Germans,” found out he had a touch of the German ancestry. The whole video is really moving and powerful and a good reminder that we are closer to one another than we think we are.
