This morning, I made the mistake of listening to Morning Joe on MSNBC as I dropped my kids off at school. It was predictably awful but I did get to hear the GOP plan to end mass shootings as presented by Paul Ryan. I arned a lot.
He started out by saying it is too early to do anything because of what happened yesterday and that we should not rush to action….yeah, I mean there have only been 355 or more mass shootings this year. We just haven't had enough of a chance to consider what needs to be done.
Apparently, the common thread is not guns. It is that these people have mental health issues. I guess this is what they had in mind when they voted to repeal Obamacare and constantly cut aid to states that they rely on it for the provision of what meager mental health services we do have in this country.
Apparently , we need to address how ISIS recruits Americans to kill on their behalf. You know, like the radical ISIS members at Sandy Hook and Planned Parenthood.
And that was it. Their plan seems to be to tell everyone to get mental health help on their own dime and if they can’t afford it to at least stop watching ISIS videos.
If there is a Hell, Speaker Ryan and his ilk will burn in it next to he terrorists and Wayne LaPierre for their role in doing nothing and allowing this evil to triumph.every.dang.day.
