On Morning Joe this morning, Bernie said “Clinton is by far the superior candidate” for president.
He said, “We need to focus on the ISSUES, NOT the personalitiues!” He is correct! But somebody needs to say it. Repeatedly. We aren’t voting for Neighbor. Or Beer-Drinking Buddy. But for Our Future.
Bernie said we need to continually press Trump not just on his so-called positions but on their consequences for most Americans, and “expose him for the fraud that he is.”
Re those, especially millenials, who will vote for Stein or Johnson, he said: “Those who are considering a Protest Vote for a third party candidate need to think carefully about the kind of country they want.” Again, he is correct. This is NOT a year to indulge one’s idealogy and turn over the planet to a narcissistic authoritarian fascist and his Tea Party evangelicals.
“I think if she contrasts her policies to his on the issues she’ll do just fine,” Bernie said.
Bernie is campaigning for Hillary today.
Bernie also energized young people to get involved in politics. Hopefully they are still listening to his wise advice. As should we all.
