WaPo... Bernie Sanders: ‘This is not the time for a protest vote’

Senator Bernie Sanders was in New Paltz New York on 9/16 and had these words for all those that would otherwise vote third party.  First and foremost, I have been, and will continue to be a staunch supporter of Senator Sanders policies and his platform, and with the utmost respect of him, I also heed his words of party unity as we face an opponent that is the symbol of everything that could go horribly awry  with this country should he be elected president.

That man is Donald Trump, the world’s best sociopath narcissist liar, corrupt, and most unethical and immoral candidate ever to be nominated by a major political party: Ever.

This is but another short diary to draw attention to the Washington Post article regarding his words at that speech and rally, for those that are wrestling as to how to vote and what to do in the upcoming election.   I, for one, will always listen and respect the words of Senator Sanders not in a cultist fashion, but out of sincere respect for his intelligence and moral stand on the issues, and reality.

Here is but a snippet of his speech, and if you are inclined to read further, the link to the WaPo story is at the bottom of this diary:

"This is not the time for a protest vote, in terms of a presidential campaign," Sanders said. "I ran as a third-party candidate. I'm the longest-serving independent in the history of the United States Congress. I know more about third-party politics than anyone else in the Congress, okay? And if people want to run as third-party candidates, God bless them! Run for Congress. Run for governor. Run for state legislature. When we're talking about president of the United States, in my own personal view, this is not time for a protest vote. This is time to elect Hillary Clinton and then work after the election to mobilize millions of people to make sure she can be the most progressive president she can be."

This is not the time for a protest vote.  It’s that critical, and for those that may think ill of me and my opinion regarding this election choice, rest assured, as I am still with Senator Sanders and will always be.   Once again I state that if the Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton should hopefully win the office of president it will be incumbent for all of us to hold her feet to the fire for what we she campaigned on for the good for all, and not for some.  We have our work cut out:  Let’s get it done.

Enough is enough..  Still feeling the Bern.
