I posted this over the weekend on my personal page. It’s not my best writing, but it wasn’t supposed to be. It just came out in frustration of people (even some close friends and family) trolling my personal Facebook timeline with with pro-Trump and/or anti-Hillary bullshit. I’m done. There’s too little time, and too much at stake. I made my peace and my point as kindly as possible. Most folks whom I’m friends with on Facebook know by now my liberal stance, but perhaps don’t know how fucking serious this election is. So here it is. Feel free to copy all of it or use whatever you like for your page. I don’t need any credit. Here’s to winning this election and proving to this country and the world #WeAreBetterThanDonaldTrump. We are #WithHer.
Okay, so to all my friends who are pro-Trump, now is the time to block me or unfollow me. We can do this temporarily, but shit is going down and ima givin’ you fair warning. If you come here to promote Trump or bash Hillary, I will block you, unless I can find a way around it. I fear for the country and I cannot fucking believe a monster like Trump is one step away from the White House.
All one needs to do is listen to the hatred, misogyny, homophobia, xenophobia, racism, greed, bigotry... that comes out of his mouth on a daily basis, or watch years of him on camera saying disgusting and deplorable things—and that should be enough to say #NeverTrump. I don't care how much you hate Hillary or how much you might choose to believe the conspiracy theories, lies, and propaganda—or maybe you just don't like her and that's your call. If you're willing to allow and/or help Trump to become president, I'm not with you. Not now.
This is about the lives of our children, the people we love and children around the world. It’s about our young troops and defenseless civilians. Many innocent people will suffer and/or die at the hands of this hate-filled warmonger. I'll never forget the helplessness I felt that tore me up for eight years with Bush and Cheney in office slaughtering defenseless human beings in their unnecessary war for profit and ego. No, I will do all I can to stop that from happening again and I believe Trump will be worse than Bush and Cheney combined.
To my Christian friends who are pro-Trump, please ask yourselves—is Trump doing what Jesus would do? Would Jesus drive out/shun those in desperation and need? Would Jesus berate women and minorities and mock the disabled? The Jesus I have grown to know and love is about loving others. Trump is everything Jesus is against. It's in the Bible, in the New Testament. You already know this.
If you say, "Well, Hillary and Benghazi...THIS, or Hillary emails...THAT..." please, please seek out the truth. It can be found if you only look past the lies her adversaries have been slinging at her for decades you will realize they hate here because she is a strong woman, because they are jealous, and/or because she’s a Democrat. I can say this: if Hillary becomes president, I believe you are going to be pleasantly surprised and find out she is not the person her enemies have made her out to be. And at minimum, you'll see that Hillary's strength and moral compass on her worst day— sing songs around Trump on his best day, and every day. It. Just. Is.
