For everyone talking about Trump quitting/getting dumped...

As many of you know, I’m running for Oakland County Commissioner here in Mitt Romney’s old stomping grounds. It’s heavily Republican (about 2:1).

The district has around 60,000 residents, of which there’s roughly 44,000 registered voters.

OVER 7,000 ABSENTEE BALLOTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SENT OUT.

That’s 16% of ALL registered voters in the district.

Assuming an 85% turnout, that’s actually over 18% of all ballots which would be cast.

I’ve also confirmed that at least a couple hundred of those have already been turned back in.

And Michigan doesn’t even allow “no reason” absentee voting...you have to have a valid reason (granted, one of the ‘reasons’ makes it pretty easy for anyone to do so, but still).

I assume the laws regarding replacing a candidate at this late stage varies from state to state; there are probably some states where it could be pulled off...but I’m guessing it would be an utter disaster if the GOP tried to do so. Better to suck it up and ride out the final month with Trump on the ballot after all at this point, methinks. He’ll lose “bigly” (35%, perhaps?), but at least the process/downballot won’t be technically/legally disrupted, right?

Meanwhile, I’ve posted my own formal campaign statement on Facebook (accompanied by the image above) and at my own website:

Is it out of line for me to keep posting this? I don't think so.

There are some judgment calls which are so obviously, blatantly wrong that they defy any attempt to justify them.

I sincerely hope my opponent will publicly rescind her endorsement of Donald Trump for President, but the reality is, the day for that was the day he announced he was running.

Since then, he has said dozens of things which should have disqualified him instantly...while at the same time, dozens of other disqualifying statements and incidents from his past have been made public. My opponent has had well over a year to distance herself from him...yet she has refused to do so.

Will this latest revelation (which is hardly shocking given everything else we know about the man) FINALLY cause her to rethink her position?
