Huge turnout at the early voting center in Franklin County today (Columbus OH). I’m helping out by driving voters to the center and I’m on call to drive through election day. The waiting time to reach the entrance was about 30 minutes from the back. But the Election folks kept the lines moving and the sunny, pleasant weather was a bonus.
I had a chance to talk with Congresswomen Joyce Beatty (CD 3) and she shared some inside polling with me. The race in Ohio is dead even from the latest internal polling. But she was optimistic because the early voting numbers are surpassing 2012. Franklin County leads the state in EV. When I asked her about the national race, she smiled and said “Hillary’s got this”.
Sunday, expect an even bigger EV turnout. “Souls to the Polls” will be bussing in huge numbers of worshipers from 1-5PM. Monday is the final day for EV from 8am-2pm.
It’s looking much better in the Buckeye state!
