Leading in the Democratic polls in New Hampshire, presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders made a swing through New Hampshire’s southern tier Monday.
Sanders is starting to show real confidence about his chances in New Hampshire and said he has a “path to victory.”
By Sanders standards, it was a rather quiet event. The picturesque Lawrence Barn in Hollis was a backdrop for a gathering that was part town hall, part commercial shoot.

Sanders was playful with questioners who offered up topics right in his wheelhouse. He threw mock punches as a questioner mentioned how the senator took on Paul Ryan and others in Washington, D.C.
“Yes, I am here in New Hampshire to ask for your vote, to ask for your support and help us win here in New Hampshire, and I think, by the way, we have an excellent chance to do that,” Sanders said.
Earlier in the day, Sanders spoke to students at Nashua Community College. He urged them to vote, saying the power is in their hands to change the outcome of the election and the future of the country. He said if turnout is high, he’ll win, but if voters stay home, the nomination will go to Clinton.
