Democracy for America said last night "Bernie was on fire!" And yes he was.

Bernie really brought the heat last night and really stepped it up on foreign policy, seeming more ready to spar over policy items. Bernie showed us last night that he’s growing in the few fields in which he needed to grow his position. Not that he’s changed any stance but that he’s being more engaging with the public in telling us why his Foreign Policy differs from Hillary’s, showing us the Bernie Sanders vision of America. A vision that includes real compassion for the first time in my lifetime to those who suffer from drug addiction. A vision that every young American should live up to his or her potential regardless of their parents tax bracket.

Real leadership is easy to see.

I must say, all the candidates had a great night, But Bernie reached a new level. When he apologized for the Data Breach, an event in which he held ZERO personal culpability, it showed a level of humility that speaks volumes for his exceptional character. I completely agree with the Young man at the Bernie watch when they asked his favorite moment. His name is Cesar Vargas and he said that apologizing "It takes real leadership to take responsibility" and "that is a real leader."

During closing statements Sen Sanders moved me to tears speaking of his mother. Knowing how hard the fear of losing my job, the desire to provide for my family, and the massive anxiety my generation feels, and knowing Bernie saw this hurt his own mother…. It was too much for me. My wife asked me when I cheered so hard for the Teddy Roosevelt shout out. I told her I respect the presidents from the past that loved America. I told her that Both Roosevelt’s loved America in the limited way they understood how and I will always respect them for that. So when Sen Sanders spoke of the hope and fear my Generation lives with day to day, and spoke of wanting to free us from that, I knew right then and there. Bernie Sanders loves America and more than that he loves us, the common American. I cried full tears as Sen Sanders closed out a great debate. I cry when I think about how much I love this country. I love this country because even when it wasn’t living up to the standards it always tried to stand for justice and opportunity. That what Bernie Sanders stands for a "Fair and Just" America where you can get ahead, where you don’t have to fear the police, where you can build a home for your family and know that your children can be provided for. The America we all dream of is within our reach I promise you.

AWWWWWW YAHHHHHHHHHHH!  BERN BABY BERN!

And you know what……… Hillary thinks Bernie can win too! Just check out the email "Hillary for America" sent me after the debate. Those of you who have read my diaries before know that I was a Hillary supporter and switched to Bernie because he will be the President we need and deserve. I do however still get the HFA emails because I am a former donor. I also like getting them for little gems like this.
