Well if you saw my earlier story about Marvelous Marvin, you know what this weekend has been like for me (I had a three day weekend only a two day workday this week).
This poor little guy is only two years old, and I suspect has spent much of that time in Animal Control in downtown Minneapolis. Getting neutered, chipped, poked, prodded and mauled by compassionate but impersonal technicians. He is SO starved for affection. (Has it really been 12 years since I haunted Animal Control looking for Louis in 2003? Those of you who go back far enough on Kos might remember that too).
And starved in other ways too. He looks fat because he is so fluffy, but he is all skin and bones underneath. And that dry food that PetSmart assured me he liked is NOT his choice. He’s a big fan of Fancy Feast. Which I will go get him some more, I only got a couple cans because I wasn’t sure he would like it — oh silly me.
He is SO adorable — the most amazing combination of rowdy and very polite — he loves to rumble but will back right off at a firm word — I really think he must have been somebody’s beloved pet at some time. Well, he’s mine now and I love him.
