I believe the answer ties into campaign finance reform,” Mr. Sanders said in the email, which went out this week. “The truth is, the insurance companies and the drug companies are bribing the United States Congress.”
He said that he wants to make “health care a right for every American,” and that the health care industry is “flooding my opponents with cash.”
You’ve heard this one, before. Wall Street reform, right? Same story here. Hillary takes millions from the healthcare and drug industries, thus they expect something in return. And that something is the status quo.
Wonder why Hillary is using right-wing talking points to try to degrade Bernie’s arguments for Medicare-for-all? Not too surprising.
He went on to say that Mrs. Clinton, the Democratic Party’s front-runner for president in most polls, has received “millions of dollars from the health care and pharmaceutical industries” and more this campaign cycle those sectors than did the top three Republican presidential candidates combined.
“Let’s not be naïve about this, maybe they are dumb and don’t know what they are going to get?” Mr. Sanders added. “But I don’t think that’s the case, and I don’t believe you do, either.”
Hmm. Seems to be a pattern.
Do you want someone who doesn’t take Super PAC money? Do you want someone who isn’t in the pocket of Wall Street, and health care companies? There is only one choice then.
