MICHIGAN: My first interview as a candidate, whaddya think?

As many of you know, I’m running for Oakland County Commissioner here in Mitt Romney’s hometown.

Last week I was interviewed by Crystal Proxmire of Oakland County One Fifteen News. I’ve been interviewed regarding ACA Signups numerous times by phone (and even appeared on Al Jazeera America once!), but this is the first time I’ve been interviewed as a candidate; needless to say, I was a bit nervous.

One major issue which didn't come up is ensuring that Oakland County's water supply is safe, clean, inspected and tested not just at the treatment plant but at the end of the line...as well as starting/continuing the process of replacing lead pipe wherever feasible . Given the recent—and still ongoing--man-made, completely avoidable water disaster in Flint, clean, safe water is obviously on everyone's mind--not just for the main supply but well water locations.

Other than that, aside from the poor lighting (there was a glare from outside the window), I think I did OK.

Oh, for anyone interested, my reference to the “nativity scene” brouhaha in Berkley, Michigan back in 2007 was actually covered by Fox News as part of their “War on Christmas” nonsense:

Here’s a video that we put together in 2012 to promote the high school bond issue in 2012 that I referred to:

Anyway, any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
