UPDATE #4: Live C-Span 2 coverage (no password needed) (Please thank evergreen2 for this link)

UPDATE #3: The amazing Chris Murphy has been standing for change for 13 hours. Sen. Murphy Is currently listening to Sen. Bob Casey speaking about how gun violence has struck the Amish in Pennsylvania, having started his day at 11:21 am EDT (update made at 9:24 pm PDT).

Senator Chris Murphy  (D-CT) came into the Senate dealing with tragedy. Shortly after winning his first U.S. Senate race, the horrific massacre at Newtown occurred. Since his first speech in the Senate, he has championed the creation of sensible gun laws in the U.S.

Today, in the wake of Orlando's tragedy, he has stood up and said NO MORE! For 10 hours and 39 minutes, he has stood without leaving the floor, yielding only for questions. Senator Reid (as just reported by Rachel Maddow) has said that the Democrats will not yield the floor until a vote on the "no-fly, no-buy" bill and universal background checks.

This filibuster has been well covered by Joan McCarter throughout the day, but I just want to add my voice and more - to keep track of which Senators join Sen. Murphy to make this filibuster historic. I think the longer this filibuster lasts and the more who join Sen. Murphy the better this effort can lead to real change. We need to celebrate those that join on the floor and urge all our Senators (Democrat and Republican) to action on gun safety.

UPDATE #1: Brady Campaign makes it easy to reach your Senators (please thank Jan4insight for this update below)
