Who'd have thought Republican nominee Donald Trump would try to use the victims and families of the Dallas shooting tragedy as an opportunity to advance his image as a statesman? (It’s a loaded question with no real answer.) Apparently Trump's camp, on behalf of Trump's ass, contacted NY authorities wanting a presser on Friday during the 3 p.m. roll call at the NYPD Midtown North Precinct. He didn’t get the response he’d hoped for. New York Daily News cites NY Police Commissioner Bill Bratton’s reply:
"Our interest is staying out of the politics of the moment, and not to provide photo ops," he told reporters. "If Mr. Trump wants to speak to me, I would be happy to brief him on what we’re doing. If Sen. Clinton wants to speak to me, I would very happy to brief her on what we’re doing. But we are not in the business of providing photo ops for our candidates.”
The narcissist part of stupid gets shot down again. Thank you, Commissioner Bratton.
