FAILURE! RNC Falls Way Short On Fundraising, NRCC Also Sees Yuge Drop

Well, pathetic for the RNC, but good news for the rest of the world:

The Republican National Committee raised $27.2 million in July -- more than $10 million short of the committee's July fundraising total four years ago.

The RNC has raised $199.5 million this cycle and has $34.5 million cash on hand.

In July 2012, the committee raised $37.7 million and had $88.7 million cash on hand.

A $10 million dollar fundraising deficit in the same month as their nominating convention. Unheard of.

The really funny “spin” part:

RNC Chairman Reince Priebus:

"Thanks to a high level of grassroots support and our Joint Fundraising Agreements with the Trump campaign, the RNC is raising the resources we need to elect Donald Trump president and preserve our majorities in the House and Senate,"

"We will continue to bolster our fundraising efforts all the way through Election Day."

My sincere debt of gratitude to Donald Trump for being a “yuge” anchor around the necks of the RNC/GOP and its down ballot candidates and fundraising. And a special word of gratitude to Reince Priebus, who supported Trump from the beginning and continues to do so. Bankrupt your party, Reince.

The Trump campaign is taking down the whole Republican party, dollar by dollar, racist, bigoted, misogynistic and homophobic comment after racist, bigoted, misogynistic and homophobic comment.

“House GOP Campaign Group Sees Drop in July Donations,”

by WSJ’s Michelle Hackman:

“House Republicans’ campaign arm raised $4.6 million in July, a sharp decline from previous months that threatens to place the group at a significant disadvantage against its Democratic counterpart leading up to the November election. Officials with the [NRCC] attributed the drop—from $9.3 million in June—in part to a difficult environment during the two parties’ national conventions. ... The [DCCC] raised $12 million in July, continuing a historic fundraising streak for a presidential year when Democrats don’t control the House. ... This cycle, the NRCC has raised a total of $114.5 million through July, compared to $133 million for the Democrats.” www.wsj.com/...
