Louisiana flood relief worker to Trump: "Where's the F*cking Check?!!"

I try not to write about Donald J “Cheeto Jesus” Trump in each and every diary, I really do.  I don’t recall making every diary about Mitt Romney in 2012, or about John McCain in 2008, but somehow this cycle everything, everything, seems to swirl in orbit of the big tangled yellow web on Donnie Trump’s noggin.

But this time is special. This is like golden.

“Our Governor has explicitly asked Obama to NOT VISIT at this moment because our first responders are STILL saving people’s lives. YES, It has been a week and there is still standing water. Tens of thousands of people are displaced. This is a NIGHTMARE and our governor does not want to shut down interstates that are BRINGING IN SUPPLIES just to escort our President into the city.”

...

“Our Governor literally told him (as this article shows) that Trump is welcome in our state but if he’s coming he better be volunteering or writing a sizable check to assist with recovery,” continued Butkus. “A 60 second video of him unloading play-doh from a truck does not count.”

Finally, she demanded, “Trump. Seriously. Where is the check. Like where is the fucking check. My people are drowning. My co-workers and family and friends have lost everything. My friends and co-workers that haven’t lost everything are taking off work (my boyfriend is taking PTO) to clean out people’s homes and rip out sheet rock and carpet. Give us money or GTFO. I don’t want to see you in your suit in AUGUST carrying boxes off a truck like you care about us. Louisiana is an incredible place. Baton Rouge is my home and I have watched people drop EVERYTHING to help one another during this time. The whole country seems to be floored by the generosity and love that our residents show each other during tough times, but to us this is normal. This is Louisiana. And you do not belong here.”

Uh yeah.  I mean the Governor literally told Barack Obama not to come because his motorcade alone would completely tie up the interstate.  He told Trump if he came, bring a check, but he didn't do it. He couldn’t do that because it would help people, not him.  He brought an 18-wheeler filled with random crap, he shoveled around some play doh then he jumped back on his Trump Shuttle tm after spitting out this little gem.

While speaking with volunteers at the Greenwell Springs Baptist Church, north of Baton Rouge, Trump said, "The president says he doesn’t want to come, he is trying to get out of a golf game."

No, he didn’t you clueless orange bridge troll.  This is what he and FEMA have done.

Over 3,800 members of the National Guard have been working to help the state complete important tasks like evacuations and search and rescue operations. The Army Corps of Engineers deployed subject matter experts to help state and local counterparts with debris removal. The Small Business Administration is providing a wide range of services to both businesses and homeowners, including low-interest disaster loans. Over 300 AmeriCorps members (from FEMA Corps and other programs) have been deployed to help various groups with operations like mucking and gutting homes damaged by the floodwaters. Here at FEMA, we've deployed nearly 1,100 staff members to the Baton Rouge area—this includes housing inspectors, disaster survivor assistance teams, and an Urban Search and Rescue team from Texas.

Trump brought one truck, FEMA brought 5,000 people with expertise, knowledge and energy. Also food, and some Play Doh. Obama will be visiting Louisiana next week after the primary crisis is over and his presence would be less of a disruption. Like the Governor asked. But Trump doesn’t have the class, or the tact, or the common sense to rise above a cheap empty meaningless political stunt to do what people politely ask him to do when he’s in full-on bombastic bull in the tea cup shop mode.

God Damnit this man is a douche nozzle.
