One of the only good things to come out of the media this election is the sifting of pundits. Steve Schmidt sorted himself to the top tonight. On The 11th Hour With Brian Williams, he explained how Trump’s claims of voter fraud are unprecedented. Compared to the constant shit show that is CNN, MSNBC has brought some great personalities on air to get us through this.
I will briefly summarize but Schmidt calls Trump out for naming specific cities and “translates” for us
“What he is saying to his all white audience there is that black people, in America’s inner cities are going to steal the election from all of you good people.”
He goes on to say that Trump is making up “whole cloth” the idea of voter fraud in the U.S.
He is attacking at a foundational level how we pick our leaders in this country. ...We’ve had uninterrupted transitions of power in this country, where the loser validates the result and legitimizes the winner since 1797.
There has never, ever, ever, ever been a presidential candidate, three weeks before an election trying to delegitimize the result of the election.
Schmidt goes on to talk about the intimations of violence, the threats of open carry in polling areas and treats as very real the oppression of the minority vote.
This is dark stuff
I look forward to adding the video and hopefully a better transcript.

I forgot to include this quote from Matt Taibbi’s piece in Rolling Stone this week.
"...Duped for a generation by a party that kowtowed to the wealthy while offering scraps to voters, then egged on to a doomed rebellion by a third-rate con man who wilted under pressure and was finally incinerated in a fireball of his own stupidity, people like this found themselves, in the end, represented by literally no one."
