— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) April 2, 2016Disclaimer: This is intended to be a safe haven for Hillary Clinton supporters. While anyone can come and post here, we ask that any non-Clinton supporters be civil towards the rest of us, and we’ll do our best to reciprocate.
For those of you who missed diaries and conversation on Saturday, check out my Open Thread, as well as the Hillary Hangout, the #ImWithHer Live Blog, and now the #IMWITHHER overnight thread for insomniacs.
Yesterday was both a good day and an extremely frustrating one. First the extremely frustrating part: whether it was due to shenanigans (Hillary Clinton representatives being told they didn’t need to show up) or poor organization, Hillary seemed to be in danger of losing Nevada yesterday. Yes, that would be the state she won over a month ago. Due to the complicated layers of the Nevada caucus system, apparently a vote is held at least twice.
x1 more time- in NV 23 delegates were allocated on 2/20. Clinton 13-10. 12 r being allocated via conventions. Tonite Sanders 7-5. Clinton won
— Armando (@armandodkos) April 3, 2016Why another vote can be held that could overturn the will of the caucus going general public one month ago, that could undo the hard work of Nevadans like playfulimp, I can’t imagine. It’s just another reminder that caucuses suck. A lot.
A brief rant: I’ve hated caucuses since I was first made aware of them in 2008. I suspect nothing was done to get rid of or reform them because the DNC feared it would take away from the legitimacy of Obama’s victory. That’s nonsense, as he won by the existing rules. But caucuses need to go. They limit “voting” only to those who can show up (except for the few hybrid ones that allow absentee voting), allow peer pressure and bullying, and create low turnout compared to a primary. And have byzantine rules that you don’t see in a primary. For those who hate superdelegates, I say this: let’s get rid of them, provided we also get rid of all caucuses and replace them with primaries.
Now on to the good stuff: Hillary and Bernie both appeared at the Wisconsin Democratic Party Founders Day Gala, and Hillary brought down the house, to quote the tweet below. After her speech, she even had one audience member claim she “converted” her. Have a watch (starts at about 1:16:00).

— L N S (@msrogan) April 3, 2016Also, Hillary will be on Meet the Press tomorrow, and many may be watching her at the time this diary appears.

— Meet the Press (@meetthepress) April 2, 2016Even though she’ll be making a Sunday talk show appearance, she still has a long way to go before she catches up to Bernie. Tried to find the handy graphic that illustrated it, but alas. Hopefully someone else can help me out.
In the meantime, here are some diaries. The other open threads have done such a good job finding them, I can’t find many that haven’t already been covered:
Dem 4 Ever: Loras College WI Poll — Hillary 47%, Bernie 41%
Bimmerella Zone: #BernieDebateExcuses Trends on Twitter After Sanders Turns Down 3 Proposed Debate Opportunities
Otherwise, I’ll just say welcome back from vacation, Lysis! And thank you to the DailyKos members who have been in charge of News & Views this past week.
Also, those who haven’t and can afford to do so, please:
As a final note, I’ll leave you with the cast of Hamilton.
